As Inspire’s director of operations, Hiro Dodd ensures that everything runs smoothly while helping to grow and scale the business. Before entering the real estate industry, Hiro worked for over a decade as a pharmacist and new project manager for a pharmacy chain in Tokyo. Though pharmaceuticals may initially seem to be a far cry from real estate, Hiro notes several key parallels between the two. For one, the pharmacist-patient-doctor and operations-client-agent relationships both represent triads that necessitate effective communication. More specifically, both require teamwork to disseminate relevant information and solicit feedback to build trust among all parties and ultimately achieve satisfactory results.
Originally from Japan, Hiro moved to San Francisco in 2014. He married Inspire agent and founder Dan Dodd in 2016, and the two are proud to be building a true family business together. When he’s not doting on Sophie, the pair’s adorable dog, Hiro is passionate about cooking and loves experimenting in the kitchen and feeding his friends and family until they’re full and satisfied! Hiro is an avid traveler, and he loves cruises, restaurants, wine, whiskey, and fashion — the latter of which is courtesy of his modeling days in Japan. Hiro has a B.S. in pharmaceutical sciences from Showa Pharmaceutical University in Tokyo and an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. He is fluent in English and Japanese.
